The Illustrating Sustainability Exhibition themed “Sustainable?Abundant”, designed by Business Ecology, a Shanghai-based Chinese magazine focused on sustainability, has toured to Suzhou after receiving wide acclaim in Shanghai.
The exhibition, featuring over 150 illustrations, is scheduled to last till Dec 31 at Suzhou Dushu Lake Library, and Oct 14 at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space, and the library in SIP Northern Citizen Center from Oct 15 to Dec 31. It is free to the public.
The works on display come from a host of Chinese and foreign artists including Magnus Valdemarsson, Dai Mouyu and Shi Yan. They highlight 30 themes such as those concerning biodiversity, green energy, circular economy, sustainable cities and inclusive development, guiding reflections on sustainability from multiple perspectives.
The exhibition includes the “Your Choice” campaign where visitors are invited to use stickers to express their personal consumption preferences and show their support for sustainable lifestyles.
The exhibition is also paired with a series of science popularization activities which are designed to impart knowledge on environment protection among the public.
